This multi award winning project consisted of the removal of inferior quality extensions and the sympathetic restoration and refurbishment of a period property in Blackrock, Cork City.

The works were designed by Maria McVeigh Design Studio and included a new 300m2 Zinc and Brass clad extension as well as the restoration of the already impressive 312m2 main building.

High class finishes were used throughout and included underfloor heating on both floors, fully integrated smart home controls, solid wood herringbone floors in the older building and Large format polished tiles in the new sections. Shower walls and floors were covered with marble cut from single 2400x1200mm sheets.

The 2 acres of gardens were extensively re-modelled with a large BBQ/ Pizza oven area, separate Limestone patio areas, integrated garage, Summer House and Tennis/ Basketball court. Hundreds of mature trees and shrubs were planted and a fully automatic sprinkler system was installed to water each.
