The O’Sullivan Campbell Architects inspired design was started in January 2006 and works were fully completed in November 2007.

The first of the new elements was the construction of a new bedroom block consisting of 22no bed rooms and 8no executive suites spread over 2no floors.

The second element was a new leisure centre incorporating 20m swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, gymnasium, changing rooms and toddlers pool as well as treatment rooms for the Spa.

The final section of works was the construction of 18no 1 ½ storey holiday homes within the hotel grounds, 6no being luxury lodges.
