The contract consisted of the construction of a 7500m2 steel framed building with reinforced concrete slabs and an underground car park, various external walls made up of rendered block, glazed curtain walling and Kingspan Insulated Sheets with a Kingspan Profiled Metal Sheet roof.
The contract included the fit out of The Supervalu Store, The Supervalu Store, all common areas, the Supervalu Offices & staff welfare areas, a 1500m2 Primary Care Unit for the HSE and a 300m2 Doctor’s Surgery. As well as the installation of 2nr lifts, a new ESB Substation and re-routing of existing 450mm water culvert under the new building.
All works were completed ahead of schedule with a phased hand over of areas agreed with the various Tenants.
Underground car park was approx. 2000m2 and a further 2000m2 surface car park was developed in front of the development with new drainage, lighting and road marking.
The underground car park needed extensive retaining walls, dewatering, the diversion of several small streams.
Works started in July 2013 and were fully handed over for a grand opening in June 2014.
The cost was circa €7.0m
